About The TechConnect DMV Symposium

Identify priorities and build an ecosystem of researchers to work on community projects

The symposium focuses on civic-engaged research and technology development for public health, public safety, and public transportation. Faculty interested in community-university-industry partnerships for using data and technical skills on purpose-driven, innovative, real-world challenges in our communities are invited to attend.

A discussion on using digital solutions to create a safe, secure environment for county residents. The panel will cover technologies for monitoring/alerting and improving emergency services as well as handling natural disasters, attacks, or accidents.

A session on the use of digital resources to keep communities healthy, safe, and informed. Various topics will be discussed, such as environment and air quality, preventing the spread of illnesses, health monitoring, and access to public health.
